Together, we see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves.

New Club Shed Project

The City of Onkaparinga will shortly commence building work a new storage shed for our club adjacent to the Seaford Rangers Soccer Club on Norseman Street at Port Noarlunga South. The cost of this commercially designed shed, project managed by the City of Onkaparinga is $92,000 (inc. GST)

We are incredibly grateful for the generous sponsorship from:

Bendigo Community Bank Fleurieu $72,000 (major sponsor), The Government of South Australia $15,000 and Seaford Community Centre $5,000. The City of Onkaparinga will will supply electricity to the club shed (underground) this will cost $25,000 connecting the Rotary and adjacent Lions sheds.

This will increase the club’s capacity to serve our local community, and we look forward to opportunities to build on our important relationships with Bendigo Community Bank Fleurieu, Seaford Rangers Soccer Club, Seaford District Lions Club and the City of Onkaparinga.

On July 11 Immediate Past President Denise Luker and Project Administrator Ian Renshaw attended the Bendigo Community Bank Fleurieu Community Investment Evening where the club was presented with a certificate. The Community Bank handed out to 25 community groups, a sum of $200,000. From the past 8 years, the bank has now contributed $1.8m for community projects. As a community bank (unlike the traditional bank), 80% of the banks profit goes back into the community. The Rotary Club of Seaford made a very sound decision 6 years ago to change its banking provider. Bendigo Community Bank have provided incredible support to this community and we are delighted to recommend their banking services.

The official opening of the new shed will occur at a FREE community event on Sunday, September 29 from 12.00pm to 2.00pm. FREE SAUSAGE SIZZLE included!
